Build Your Dream House...in Flash!

smallblueprinter has a Flash movie on their site which lets you build a house by adding walls, windows and doors to a grid. You can then view a 2D view of your plan, walk through a 3D version of your house, or print the plan. Though fairly limited in functionality, it is nonetheless a great example of a practical application--with good design and usability--done in Flash.

Apple Says "So long, IE"

In an announcement at the Macworld Expo in San Francisco on Tuesday, Steve Jobs unveiled a new Web browser for the Mac. Macs had been using Internet Explorer as the default browser, but will now use Safari, which, according to Jobs, has a "very minimal" user interface.
