Wireless: It's Not Just For Computer Geeks Anymore I've said it before and I'll say it again: wireless is the future. I recently read an article on wireless Internet access points posted at Yahoo! News.
Think there are tons of wireless hotspots in New York and Los Angeles, but none in the Twin Cities? A Wi-Fi Zone search for Minnesota hotspot locations shows that there are several dozen scattered around the Twin Cities. Right now the wireless focus seems to be on connecting computers to the Internet. It won't be too long, however, before we see all kinds of devices which can connect to wired and wireless networks. Don't be suprised when you see refrigerators, microwaves, washer/dryers, and thermostats which can connect to your home network (and from your home network to the Internet). Before leaving work and heading home you'll be able to start cooking dinner or adjust the room temperature.
