"Critical" Windows Flaw Discovered
Microsoft has issued a "critical" alert (the highest alert in their four-level security ratings). A flaw in Windows may allow a hacker to run unauthorized code on a user's PC. The code can be run from an HTML email message, or when the user visits a Web page which contains the malicious code.
Microsoft Security Bulletin MS03-023 discusses this issue in more detail, and lists all of Microsoft's operating systems which are affected. The security bulletin also contains a link to a patch for Windows NT and XP.
